Re: quick ?

on my 67 I have to take out the tumbler to take off the bezel, to do that is insert the key and turn it counterclockwise (accessory) and insert a small piece of wire in the very small hole next to the key and pull the tumbler out. I don't know what year your truck is, they vary the newer they get.

hope this helps

Re: quick ?

All the 67 - 72s were like that... except, I've never heard of a 67 with an acc position.... heck, most of the 68's I've seen don't have it either.

When I turn mine to accessory the fan motor for the heat/ac works, I don't have my radio hooked up, you couldn't hear it over the engine so it didn't do much good....

Re: quick ?

Okay when you feel the spring tension turn a little more to the acc position and pull. It should come out. John

Re: quick ?

My 67 has an accessory position to the left of off. All it does is slightly turn on the red generator light and drain the battery. My only accessory would be the fan and radio and they do not work in this position.

Is a dead battery considered an accessory?

Re: quick ?

I didn't have the key for my 67, so I just held the back with visegrips and kept turning until it broke. I needed a new one anyway.
