oil level
When I first got my truck it had a small leak from around the timeing cover were the crank goes in. It was at full on dip stick. I noticed it had stopped leaking from there and the oil level is at about a quater over add line. Was it just a little too full? I am using a lokar stick that goes right into the block. Is it ok to run it at or around the add line?
Thanks

Re: oil level
Sorry .. im not really going to answer your question .. but i've noticed something similar .. for the longerst time i thought my 350 burnt oil ... i kept topping it off .... i noticed lately .. if i let it go .. the level doesn't drop below about 1/2 a quart low ... so i think a leak is probaly what i have ..
aside from that .... i lose more oil when i do highway driving .. around town i never lose any .....
