This is definitly where i parked my car....
well i of coarse am another newbie to the site...well anyways i recently aquired a 72 chevy pickup longbox (wanted a short but hard to find) 2wd, packing a 350 4 bolt main with a 350 turbo trans.... the truck is in need of some help...typical surface rust and cab needs some fixing...i purchased this truck for the price of $400, pretty good deal in my mind cus it sat for four years and didnt move an inch....me and a buddy went and spent 45mins on its and got her to live once again....now my future plans are to have all the rust fixed with patch panels, lower it with a 3/4 drop kit, the 350 will become a 383 stroker with some other power adders...still debating on the color i wanna go with this, but i wanna fill the gas filler and install a fuel cell, fill the antenna hole, and remove all the striping and fill the gaps as well... but here is some pics of the project as i took them yesterday afternoon with weather permiting
i know i got alot of work ahead of me but i have another frame in storage from my old 72 i had in HS, i have new box sides and another cab that i have been working on, all the rust is already fixed, so it will pretty much be a frame off restoration....iam only 21 ive done body work so this should be a fun deal for me, thanks for checking this out and if you have any suggestions on what i should or could do to make this easier id greatly appreciate it |

Welcome aboard Rusty. I'd take your blue chevy over that green dodge parked next to it any day of the week.

Re: This is definitly where i parked my car....
hey thanks everyone for the invite....very much appreciated...this project should be alot of fun....just out of curiousity has anyone made a longbox into a shortbox?? cus i was thinking when iam done with the longbox...i will have the spare frame, cab and box sides already....so that means i can go crazy and give it a try....but if it is hard to do ill just pass and make another 72
