Rochester monojet question
My 250ci 6 cyl has a Rochester Monojet carb.
At the base of the card, and facing toward the front left fender is a vent hose, which is now cut short and plugged with a screw. Does anyone know what this line is for? thanks Mark |

Re: Rochester monojet question
It could have lead to the air filter housing. It would operate the valve in the snorkel to regulate pre-heated and fresh air, or it could have operated the vacuum choke pulloff diaphram. Take another close up pic with the air filter assembly removed.

Re: Rochester monojet question
Its a vacuum line. Get some caps and get rid of the hose.

Re: Rochester monojet question
Looks like (if Iam right about the picture) you have dual pulleys which would indicate that its a vacuum line that ran to the smog pump diverter valve, you can check the head on the carb side and see if there are plugs along it.
Thats how my 68 was..... Smitty
