Update on 200 Truck
Well ipulled Intake of this dirty pig to find it spotless not even any grime on puishrods. Pulled the heads and the pistons clean can read the 40 over on it. Lifters lift out by hand no puller no shellac. A question I have is how long does the cross hatch last in the cyl after rebuild? I can see it clearly. I am going to check this thing out clean the mud off the outside and run it... It was supposed to have ran great but some one stole carb and valve covers and it sat a Yr. The thing with heads off turns over by hand I am pumped Jack

Re: Update on 200 Truck
I've pulled apart 100k engines that still show it from top to bottom but you should take it as a good sign. Should have been a couple cylinders with the valves open, how do they look? Valves rusty? Careful disassembly (keep the lifters in order, don't clean the ring grooves w/ broken ring, etc.) and cleaning and you might get away with just gaskets and a fresh coat of paint! A step better would be to get rings, bearing, valve seals too. Luckly, this is one of the cheapest engines to get stock parts for ever.

Congrats...sounds like you've got a keeper there! The engine compartment does look like a pig pen...what when on in there?
