Putting stereo in this weekend, need some help...
I'm putting in a CD player and some new speakers in my truck and I had a few questions:
1. How do I get the AM radio out from behind the dash? Do I need to remove the heater equipment? 2. On my CD player there's one wire that's marked Battery and another that I assume needs to be wired to a power source when the ignition is on. Where do I hook these up to? I think that's it, I'll probably have some more tomorrow once I get started.

Run the yellow wire to the battery or a power source that's always hot, and the red one to the accesory side of your ignition or a source that's hot when you turn the key. I can't remember, but I think that you do have to remove the heater controls to get to the radio.

The original AM is held up by a bracket in the back ( which also acts as a ground ) ,randy is correct on the wire colors. you have to remove the glove box and ashtry, and in some cases the heater controls to get the AM out...
