Will a 73 stepside bed bolt up to a 67-72 frame?
Just wondering if a 73 - 87 style stepside bed would work on a 67 - 72 swb frame without any mods.
Any info is appreciated. Thanks. |

I believe the bed will, but the fenders definitely will not.

It will bolt up. The fenders are differnt and if you try to use the correct fender you have to fill and drill holes to make them work

There's a thread in the FAQ on using 73+ bedsides that goes into everything you need to do.

The two bolts on the very rear crossbrace will not line up. As others, mentioned, the fenders will be off. Your tires will look weird in the rear fenders. They can be used, but they do look strange unless you modify them.
