Remove Spindle - Help?
Do I need that special "ball joint removal" tool to remove the spindle from the upper and lower "A" arms? I thought they just popped off with a little tap from a BFH once the nuts were off!

It really helps to have a pickle fork. Sometimes it takes some heavy pounding even with them. They don't cost too much, less than $10. Good luck!

But be carefult they tear the boots up then you gotta replace the ball joints. But if you got it apart you should do it anyway they are not that expensive, and worth doing now. I always use the BFH, and beat the hell outa it. hehe

Ya usually they come off easy, but sometimes they absolutely will not come off without a pickle fork. 90% of the time i just sticka pry bar in there (or leave a light load on the springs) then hit the spindle.
