Showing off my new paint 71 GMC Med Bronze Metalic
Todays picture of my 1971 GMC Sierra 3/4 ton 4x4, with the new Martin Semour factory meduim bronze metalic paint.
A few misc chrome pieces left to install, but she's on the road. From: Wes: Tailgate GMC chrome trim. Pickmup: 3/4 ton hubcaps. 72BOB

Re: Showing off my new paint 71 GMC Med Bronze Metalic
Thanks for all the compliments!
I believe the upper trim is factory, since the truck had never been painted and I bought it from the 2nd owner since 1977. As far as I know it was never a two tone truck, it's missing the chrome under the rear window.

Re: Showing off my new paint 71 GMC Med Bronze Metalic
Thanks for the answer. You see,SierraGrandes had the upper & lower mouldings.Sierras had both if it was 2-tone,but a solid paint Sierra only came with the lower. The upper trim must have been ordered as an option by it`s self.

Re: Showing off my new paint 71 GMC Med Bronze Metalic
special-K thanks for the tidbits. There is no markings on the glove box door for upper trim option, so it must have been installed by the first owner.
The upper trim look is pretty neat, I just need Wes to send me my new clips!

Yeah,I like the solid paint with upper/lower trim. Most have two-tone and it hides the trim some.Your`s is lookin`good.

Re: Showing off my new paint 71 GMC Med Bronze Metalic
I really like the look of a solid with both upper and lower molding.
