Re: interesting GM accessory
I thought I was going to have to get one of those. For 6 years my 99 truck and wife's car both have lights that come on and go off as needed. I went back to driving my 72 I had a hard time remembering (when running in rain or gas station down to park lights) until run out of street lights to turn off or on. I joking told one of my buddies I was going to get one, not knowing that they even had such a thing. Thanks for enlightening me.

Re: interesting GM accessory
I install them in all my cars, including my longhorn... just never heard of one through GM.
You can get the same thing as above... without the GM package, at napa or autozone.... much cheaper. I put this here becouse some of our hard core GM colectors may be interested in it. |

Re: interesting GM accessory
You can always make a simple circuit like this so that your headlights turn off when you turn the key off. The Ignition must be on for there to be power sent to the headlight switch for any night time lights to work.

Re: interesting GM accessory
Years ago they were common in every auto parts store. Then GM put them in the GM or Delco package, with all of the very same buzzers & connectors, and doubled the price, of course.
I haven't seen them at the GM dealers for a couple years now and I haven't seen them in the auto parts. Anyone actually seen these still for sale? They are simple and work fine. Last edited by PICKMUP; 03-19-2006 at 10:13 PM. |
