4/6 or 3.5/5?
Anybody have any pics of longbeds with either the 4/6 drop or 3.5/5 or even 4 in front with bags on the rear? I have a 71 longbed that I am going to drop and would like to go pretty low. Would love it if you guys could show pics of all three of the options mentioned above Really not looking to do a full bag job all the way around, may still do some trailering....also, someone once told me that the standard 4/6 drop is not very functional on a longbed but that the 4/rear airbag would be fine? Anyone know why? Thanks ahead of time

That looks really good ratrod! Do you have any sort of problems, that is really low for a longbed?

Re: 4/6 or 3.5/5?
I haven't had any problems yet. I do have to be careful because I have headers that hang pretty low but haven't hit them yet. Yea, it's pretty low.

Did you need a Cnotch with that 6" drop?

You have to have a drop of at least 4/6 in TX

Re: 4/6 or 3.5/5?
Anybody have any other pics? Maybe the 3.5/5 or airbag rear? Only on a longbed though if possible.

Re: 4/6 or 3.5/5?
Here is mine. I didn't lower it so I haven't a clue on the #'s. I do know that the front is sitting on the bumpstops.

Re: 4/6 or 3.5/5?
Thanks Chris, I have seen those...I hate how high the back is compared to the front. I was thinking maybe going with the 4 inch drop up front and then bagging the rear, I was thinking I could just get the bags for now and spend the money on the compressor kit later? Know one seems to have pics of that setup though?

Re: 4/6 or 3.5/5?
I know its ghetto but ive done it a few tine and never had an issue , I cut 1 coil off the front coils ( NOT USING A TORCH) but slowly with a very thin zip cut on the grinder.
I bought new rear drop coils for the back for a bit over $200 cdn I beleive I never ever had any issues , I drove it like that year round and I used it as a truck, loved it handled great rode nice , I loved it , well see how much I like the 6 inch fron drop , with the bags out back should be like a 6/8 drop

Re: 4/6 or 3.5/5?
did you use dropped spindles along with cutting the springs? also did you use a adjustable panhard bar out back? I keep hearing that you get alignment issues without it.
