Question Sticky gas pedal.. HELP!!

just got the truck back on the road, i put new carpet/pedals on the truck, but now the gas pedal sticks.. no matter how much input i put on the pedal it will stick (10mph-70mph) i put some aluminum foil on the back which solved the problem, FOR NOW.. anyone else have this problem and a permanent/non-ghetto solution, thanks
