Identify this trans?? please

This is a 4spd in a 72 gmc 1/2. I think the option code says sm20, but I'll check it tomorrow if no one has id'ed it before then. Thanks, Al

I believe it would be a Muncie. Looks like the one in my '70 but mine says sm465.

Great pic sneakysnake! Thanks. Looks like the 465 to me too. I just wasn't sure cause the option code is M20, so I was thinking 420. I'll check the pto covers. If it has 2, then it's def a 465?? Thanks all.

If reverse is right and down, SM 465, if reverse is left and down, SM 420, IIRC
