My New Toy

It's a original 1967 SWB 4x4 with I6, 4sp, rockwell case, and 3/4 ton axles. It was brought up a couple years ago from Arkansas and only has 50,000 miles on it. I'm only the third owner. The body is real good, especially for IL. It needs a drivers side rocker and cab corner. And the passenger side front fender needs the lower front cup replaced. My first fix is to install a different fornt axle with disc brakes and also add power steering at the same time. Well I couldn't pass it up for $2200. Jason

Re: My New Toy

Thanks, it's getting disc brakes and power steering first. Then a six inch lift and 35" BFG's. Next winter I plan on putting my 468 BBC, TH400, and 205 in it. When the motors out i want to detail the engine bay and maybe get the rest of the truck painted also. I might replace the flatbed this summer with a stepside box. Sorry for the run on, but I've been looking for a decent SWB 4x4 to build up for a while. Thanks again Jason

Re: My New Toy

Nice truck. You did pretty good for 2200. If you need any help with the Rockwell/205 swap, you can shoot me a PM anytime. I am doing it with a 465 4 speed, but it's pretty much a straight-forward swap, and we've got it mostly done. There's a few snags here and there, but nothing too serious.

Re: My New Toy

That looks like a truck cab on a Blazer frame. What is the wheelbase?

No, it's a true shortbed (114" wheelbase).

Jake it has the 250 I6 in it.
