How do I remove the ignition switch
I searched FAQ and couldn't find it. Anyway I turned the bezel countercklockwise and it loosens but it now seems to be at a spot where I keep turning but it wont' unthread from the switch assembly. Am I missing something?
I appreciate the help. |

Re: How do I remove the ignition switch
You have to remove the tumblers from the switch first.
with the switch in the off position, insert a paperclip into the small hole in the tumblers, and turn counter clockwise while pulling on the keys and it should pop out.

Re: How do I remove the ignition switch
Worked first try! Turn switch to acc first, THEN push in paper clip and turn further counter clockwise, pull out with key as you jiggle and hold mouth just so and out it comes!

Re: How do I remove the ignition switch
a quick search on this forum (this specific 67-72 forum) turned up this page:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...light=ignition And if you search for "ignition" on this forum only, you'll find about two dozen other threads on it hope this helps.
