Hard to install tilt column???

is it hard to install a tilt column on a truck with no tilt from factory.... whats involved i may be buying a tilt for my truck if not too hard

Both are great write ups. But, the one thing I didn't see or I missed is that the switch that is actually mounted to the column that goes to the key switch is different on the two columns. An issue I had was that the switch on the tilt was a different connection (plug was different) and the one for the non tilt will not work. Once I finally got it installed I had to turn the switch back towards me to start it (backwards). Had to order a correct swithch for my year and for tilt. (LMC pg 141 item 22)

Thanks for the info. I've never messed with a non-tilt so that's new to me.
