Motor and tranny are in. Lots of pics!

Well motor is in, just have to finish wiring my CDI box into my nitrous. Here are a tonne of pics. My crew chief and daughter Ashley is seen putting on the finishing touches ( tomboy for sure ). Also a pic of my tow rig ( I know it's a Ford, but at least a Harley ). Also notice I removed my front cross member and installed a tubular one ( lots more room to work in there now ). Plus a few of the after mass, as you can see I also was running on NOS ( empty cans, and a can of Beaver Buzz, made in Canada LOL ).

Also what are you guys using to resize pics, Photo ed makes even 5.5 meg pics look like crap.

Truck's looking awesome.

I use Corel PhotoPaint to resize my pics - it does a great job, but I'm sure there are some cheaper/free programs that do a good job too.

I use the Windows Image Resizer PowerToy. It is free and it can resize a large number of images all in one shot. All you have to do is right click on an image file and choose resize. It is worth the download to try it out. Just download the Image Resizer program from this page:

Re: Motor and tranny are in. Lots of pics!

looks great but.... if you plan on running NHRA they are gonna shut you down for the fuel regulator on the firewall. i know i agree its perfectly safe their on our trucks but the rulebook says not on the firewall. they made me move mine, i just made a quickie mount from a piece of flat 2 inch band iron and bent a 90 on the end to mount it to. otherwise they said its my last time through tech like that. have fun and post some time slips. Dev.

Re: Motor and tranny are in. Lots of pics!

Did you just move it away from the firewall a bit then, on put it else where? Please let me know what's legal. That just feeds my nitrous, but ya I race at a NHRA track, and want to be legal. On a side note that reg is crap, creeps bad, even tryed a new one, never buying a Holley reg again, have a Aeromotive on the way.

I had it out today, and I'm more worried about no roll cage right now, holy crap does it pull hard, and thats with just motor. Can't get traction on the highway standing start is not a option, and it spools up quick, have to be fast on the gears or your bumping the rev limiter.

It will be in the 11's on motor alone. I ran 12's with my 396, and this thing is at least 175hp more and over 200 torque, that would be a conservative guess, never had the 396 dynoed.
