Re: is this guy telling the truth? or is he false?
Well the only thing I can think of is an old man bought it new and kept it in the garage and didn't drive it much. But the miles could be 117468 since the 100,000 mark does not show. Plus I own pretty much the same truck exept for a few differences. Mine has a cloth seat and a 700R4 instead of the Turbo 350-C. The rust could be from snow being packed up there and the melting snow with the salt from the road rusting the area away. I wish my trucks paint job was still that nice. But it has been miss treated.

Re: is this guy telling the truth? or is he false?
Any one know why a truck with 17k would be running a junk yard rear? Look carefully see the yellow crayon? My suburban with 425k leaks less from the rear. One other thing. Did you all see the yellow paint back inside the passenger fender? I think the truck has been patched up for resale. All that said, it is still a good looking, well detailed truck.

That not paint in the right fender it has an under coating sprayed in it, my truck had the same goo sprayed in the same fender just like that one. As far as the milage go's it could be true or it could have 117.000 on it. I don't think thats a big deal as long as it had all of it's routine maintenance preformed. As some others have said it's a good truck for a resto but it's a LWB |

Re: is this guy telling the truth? or is he false?
One thing I've learned by watching shows like Overhaulin and Wrecks To Riches is once these old vehicles start to rust they need attention immediately. It's perfect for a frame off restoration, but like oscareltemblo said it's a long bed. I love long beds, but I'm not willing to pay as much for them as I am for a SWB.

Re: is this guy telling the truth? or is he false?
for 17k miles... would the tires be that bald??? i thought that the tread was supposed to be up to like his shoulders, or his ear, or something... higher than that anyways? i've got the original rubber for my truck still, and with about 96k miles on it, they're about that bald.

Re: is this guy telling the truth? or is he false?
I'm of the opinion that this truck is not all that is advertised. There are some things that are not right about some under the hood colors of the fenders as well as the total rust out in the fenders for a 17,000 mile driver. I will admit, the interior is one of the best that I have seen in years.

Re: is this guy telling the truth? or is he false?
There is an inner fender brace there that makes it a common place to rust but usually there is rust elsewhere. Maybe the front was replaced earlier in its years. It looks good but the rust in the back is pretty bad for 17.000 miles. I got a 77 from Ohio in 1995 that had 29,000 miles on it and it only had minimal rust around the windows. It was driven in salt and snow.
