New Dash Bezel

Went to the Portland swap meet a couple of weeks ago and picked up a new bezel for my dash. Got it for $25US but only comes in black or chrome. I bought the chrome and this weekend i painted it to match. It should really clean it up.

Re: New Dash Bezel

I think there are $30 in the catalog from Car and Truck shop. All i did was clean the rough chrome with brake clean and mask off all the chrome. That was the worst, getting that little chrome ring around all the gauges. Then it slightly lifted after I had painted it, so with a little thinner on a clean rag, go back and wipe off all the over spray. Cursing as i did it, but well worth the finished product.. Any one know what the best LED to use to make it "glow" a little better. E-bay is ok but they want a fortune for shipping.

I ordered a set of these. Still have not got them yet, but will let ya know how they turn out. What i liked about these is the fact that they were dimable with the factory switch. Most LED's don't dim, they are usually either off or on.

Re: New Dash Bezel

Looks good!!! One of the best and cheapest mods that can be done. $25-30 buck bezel $50-60 dash pad can make a interior.

Re: New Dash Bezel

Here Frenchblue, PO put it in there.. old Smith tach, I really liked it so it stays till i get a new dash pad, and theres no crackes so that could be a while. Gives it that old school look for sure.
