frame swap question

i have a buddy that has an 89 burb that has excellent drive train and nice interior. he doesnt do the online thing so he asked if i would ask this question...does anyone know if you can put a 67-72 burb on an 89 chassis? personally i have no idea. i told him he should just take all the 89 stuff and put it on the early chassis. its all half ton 2wheel drive. i think the engine and auto tranny are computer controlled so i have no idea how tuff that would be to swap over. i know the front suspension is an easy swap. not sure about the rear. anyway any input would be great, thanks.

Re: frame swap question

The frames are a little different and the wheel base is a little different also.
I did the same thing.......I used the entire running gear, complete wiring harness and computer from a 1990. I used the 72 drive shaft and rear end. It will pretty much all bolt up or in. Wiring harnesses will all work. Hardest part for me was hooking up the dash to the 1990 harness.(many hours)
