Displacement on Demand--5.3L LH6

I am like a great deal of you out there, saving up to purchase a new fuel injected 5.3L engine from a newer silverado. With gas prices ever increasing, and easy startup with these engines, it almost makes this a no brainer.

The more I started looking into the 5.3L engine, I have been reading up on a new creation from GM that they are now selling in their 2006 impala's. It is a 5.3L V8 engine that can produce up to 303hp and up to 28 mph. While I know GM probably fudges these numbers a bit, that is very impressive. I believe that in 2007 they will offer a similar 5.3 LH6 model engine in the truck/suv division.

I was wondering how much people might know about these, or might even know someone that is currently putting one of these bad boys in the their 67-72 chevy. I would like to hear from anyone that might have some background on these engines. I would like to purchase one of these, but since it new on the market, I want to feel it out before purchasing.

Also, here is a link that I found, that explains a little bit more about this engine.
