1971 blazer 2 wheel drive
I am trying to buy a 71 2 wheel blazer from a local.I originally wanted it for parts until I heard how rare it may be.It is a wisconsin vehicle meaning yes the floors are gone-lower fenders ect.It has the original motor and trans and is parked for unknown reasons. What might this thing be worth? I honestly would sell it to a board member or friend if it is worthy of restoring.I cant find actual production numbers but I heard something like 3300 2 wheel drives for 71.

Re: 1971 blazer 2 wheel drive
Yes they are rare and worth saving. I think 3300 is high for 71 production but I think 70 was just over 800 from what I have read here. Even with rust if it is a real 2wd it is worth twice what a 4x4 is worth in the same condition. I just picked up a 2wd for 2k and it needs almost every panel replaced or re worked and I still feel it was a steel. But keep in mind I do this work alot so for me it is just time not hard cash spent at a shop fixing it up.
Good luck and post some pics if you want more info. Kevin LFD Inc. |

2wd are popular and significant rust isn't! IF the rear tub floor and rear quarters have rust through---and the windshield frame and or firewall is rusted through---I personally would not put much value on the vin plate, frame and title!! I know where there are several like that don't have enough left on them to make it worth while to pick up, pull home and part out!
