Re: need picture of back floor
Hey Kevin
Just the back edge. I never worked on the back floors of a blazer and this one is missing the rear cross sill. Main thing is it a square like edge or is it more rounded? Probably the sensible thing is to cut one off a donor. I was going to make one but I think now i should find one. Are they like the pickups? Their aren't many blazers around where i live. Any help would be great. Mike Last edited by mbgmike; 05-23-2006 at 10:26 PM. |

Re: need picture of back floor
I had a thread from a few years back from Colorado K5 before all the repo parts were made. Maybe bouncy or some of the guys who surf that site will know what I am talking about. Thread was called cancer repair, Anyway this guy rebuilt rockerboxes everything and had tons of pics. He showed how he made the back lip by taking a donor piece of a bed. he cut small pie pieces out to beat and shape the curved end the he added the 45 degree L piece on it. I was amazed, but my link has expired.

Re: need picture of back floor
Mike that part is the same as a truck down to the last detail if memory serves. Here is a pic not showing everything and if needed I can get one today with the carpet strip removed and a closer shot for ya. But if you make it look just like your trucks you will be home free!

You can see more resto pics here. This section is called "Rear bed repair" in the webshots album. The rear section of the floor is definitely the same as a pickup.

Re: need picture of back floor
Thanks All. I Assumed They Were The Same As The Trucks, But Just Wanted To Be Sure. Stands To Reason Since The Gates Are The Same.
But If I Did It That Way Sure Enough They Would Be Slightly Differant |

Re: need picture of back floor
Thanks for the pictures. Actually they are different, now that I see these from 71restorod. The blazer floors are just rounded over at the rear sill like the pictures above. The picture of the truck butt up to the sill like I am used to. This is a really big help
Guess I didn't explain it too well. Last edited by mbgmike; 05-25-2006 at 06:31 AM. |
