Which year blazer had inside tailgate handle?Will this tailgate work on a pickup?

1973 until body restyle. I doubt if it would work on a pick up as the hinges are way different...

on the flip side, a pickup tailgate will bolt onto a Blazer, though.

Sorry, I never took pics of mine. My '77 had a '73 roof on it, so it was a full convertible. The pickup tailgate is thinner inside (it doesn't have to hold the window or regulator) and lines up perfectly. The holes are in the Blazer quarter panels to mount the pickup hinges and all. If you are going to swap the gates out, just make sure you get all of the mounting hardware from the pickup (hinges, straps, and all) and set it into place. The blazer hinges are held in place with 4 bolts per side from the bottom, and they just slide out.

Swaping from a truck tailgate to a blazer tailgate on a truck......just kicking that idea around so stuff would be safer in the bed with a tonnau cover,among other things.Thanks for your help

They make handle relocater kits to move the handle to the inside on pickup tailgates.

Thanks for the pics. That's just weird to me I guess to see that swap. With a blazer I've wanting to keep the stuff in the back more secure and dry and with that swap it doesn't but it's a nice alternative when I take the top off if I can ever get it started again...

Was thinking of putting in the metal filler panel on a Blazer tailgate for a smoothe tailgate then putting a metalscapes confederate flag on it(lot of trouble to go to aint it).This would mostlikely be done on a 2wd (if I ever build one)with tonnau cover thinking also along he lines of bed security.
