Hot Rod Power Tour 2006
Like it says above! The 2006 Hot Rod Power Tour starts next weekend in Orlando, FL. I am leaving out early Friday morning with some friends from Mobile, AL heading down. We will probably only hit the Orlando and Gainesville stops this year then bug out Monday morning headed home to Mississippi. Anybody else planning on hitting the tour this year? Here are some links and info:

Re: Hot Rod Power Tour 2006
Went to the Orlando stop yesterday and got to meet Dean. (Subtle71) Great guy! Dean, it was great to meet you and your truck is killer! I'm going to steal some ideas from your interior, hope you don't mind.
The venue this year at Orlando was sooooo much better than last years final stop in Kissimmee. It couldn't have been a better show IMO. I even got to meet and talk to Kenny Wayne Sheperd. Really cool guy, and he even let me get a photo w/ him. There were some cars there that you just have to see in person to really appreciate. No TV show or buildup thread would ever do them justice. The amount of work and custom fabrication that goes into these cars is just unreal. Unfortunately, talking to some of the owners I realized that many didn't know the first thing about their cars. It's pretty easy to spot the real car guys and it was fun to rap w/ them about their vehicles. There was just a few 67-72 trucks at the Orlando stop but they were pretty sweet. If any of you get the chance to go, I'd highly recommend it. This was probably my favorite hotrod show I've been to. Peace!

Re: Hot Rod Power Tour 2006
I'm going to do it next year. Hopefully I will be driving the 69 Suburban! If not, I guess I'll have to drive the "'48 work truck" .
