Pics of new seats and interior, custom

My latest project/upgrade on my 72 GMC. Seats are from a 02 Chevy Tahoe, heated leather full power. I built and covered the console. I am also planning on changing the dash pad, door panels, armrests, and sunvisors to a Light Saddle or Parchment color.

2 comments, and a question;

Looks good.
a roll of black (or gray) carpet can be had at wally world or a less evil monol\polizing store for 10 bucks or so, can be used to cover the fuel tank.

Now th question... Did you make extentions for the heater vent, or are you letting the vent heat up the stereo?

Re: Pics of new seats and interior, custom

Actually, I purchased 3 yards of matching vinyl that I used to cover the console, and I also covered the center between the seats with some of the vinyl, for now. I will probably buy the carpeted gas tank cover later. I didn't make a block off plate yet for the heater because I don't use the heater. I only drive the truck in the summer. I might put a block off plate in there as I see how much heat is generated in there. Thanks for the comments.

Thumbs up Re: Pics of new seats and interior, custom

Wow nice job! Did you make the center conusol yourself? If so it really turned out great looking. Keep up the great work.

Re: Pics of new seats and interior, custom

Yep, I built the console myself. I am using a 4" long piece of 1/4" thick steel flat stock under each mounting point in the seat. And 3/8" bolts. The mounting feet of the seat is about 4" long. Thanks!!
