Body mounting perches?
I am trying to find the GM part number for the body mounting perches that were originally bolted/rivited to the frame. 1988 K5 blazer, and I need the part number so I can perhaps find a set somewhere....Can anyone provide me with the number, or at least a place to find it.
Thanks in advance

Re: Body mounting perches?
If you can find a decent parts man at gm who might be willing to pull the R/V bible out from under the counter you might have some luck. Its something i doubt that would be a stocking item for a couple of reasons....but if you can get a number the same parts man can do a national search of all the dealerships and find out who shows the number in their inventory. And then a phone call has to be made to lay hands on said part to confirm its actually there.
The other route is to search ebay for the R/V series parts bible and then proceed at dealership down the same path but saving the parts man the loo up portion of the event...allthough he will have to enter the number and see if it is super'd yet and how many times to arrive at the latest and greatest number gm has assigned to said part. You can enter the number on gmpartsdirect.com...but its a long shot. Or the old boneyard method with a torch....which will be the cheapest and fastest of all the methods. I have found if you walk in the door at the stealership toting a R/V manual bookmarked to the appropriate page...you usually get a lot more help as you instantly set yourself apart from the norm of joe public...and good working relationships to get the right price are usually born.
