HELP w/the area behind the front seats....

but not quite the foot area for the back seat. why do they not make replacement panels for that area and/or can you fab that pan yourself with some sheetmetal? if so, what ga. should be used? also, if anyone has a completely restored floor from the back where the bed starts to the footwells, i'd REALLY appreciate some pictures. i have a lot of rot and rust on my floors and trying to figure out what everything is supposed to look like has been a PITA.

Hmmmm, not exactly sure which spot your talking about, I know that
a replacement BLAZER floor is nearing the production stages, and the
cab floor is already there, are you talking about the STEP up area ?

just below the step area....from just under the seat to that back area. they sell the outter rear pans but that's just for the side. i have to cut a little more towards the inside than that pan will cover.

does the NEW p/u floor section cover that area you need? just a thought

no, the floor pans that i bought go just about to the front of the seat...the outter rear floor pan covers just the side all the way back to the step. i'll take a picture.

What you need is that area out of a pickup truck. LUV is talking about a complete truck floor pan is about due out. That would solve your problem. When I get a chance to post some pics with my wifes help I will show you what I have done. My kneewall was rusted in some place so I welded in some patches. The outside curved area of my outside pan was gone worse than Frenchblues is you have seen his thread. Finding a good pickup cab floor is not easy but they are around. I couldn't find one so I had to get pieces I had to buy the curved area and the ridge where the front of the seat sits. I graphed in the outer curved part. I am using the angled to replace the angled part that leads up to the flat part. The flat part is just a standard Patch. I have a complete back floor that is almost rust free that I got from a parts blazer. just what you are talking about knee wall up to just in front of the front seats that I got. I am saving it for my other blazer. This blazer is my experiment.

thanks pound, that's what i'm looking for. the rust just starts to ride up the ridge and i was thinking about fabbing that piece somehow. i might have to go back out to a junkyard and see if i can cut out that section.

any idea when the complete floors are due out? can we expect everyone to carry them?

Call Goodmark they can tell you or WES on the board usually has a good idea on that stuff. Dupping that curve/ridge part is hard! I tried and then went with the truck piece good luck

Times like these you wish Gee Emm was around still... He made his own floor using a pickup floor but all of his pics got wiped when he left the site... I tried to access his website but I guess he has dropped it...
