suggestion on suspension kit vendors
I am restoring a 1972 short fleetside. I am looking to buy a complete front suspension kit, complete front brake kit (disc) and new stainless brake lines. Anyone have any suggestions for a good kit and place to get them from Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: suggestion on suspension kit vendors
I just installed a 2.5/4 drop kit on my 68 with ece parts. Their stuff is deffinatley great quality. they offer everything yu would need. They might be a bit higher on prices but are great to deal with and have awsome customer service.

Check with some of the board members like GMCPaul's, Christians Classics, Wes and a few others.

Re: suggestion on suspension kit vendors
Early Classics and board vendors are the only places to buy from for me.

Re: suggestion on suspension kit vendors
Welcome to the board. You can put most of it together from local suppliers for less money. unless time is a factor. Just buy the spindles from a company of your choice.ECE is good. Mike McCaughey (sp?) is another, we use them alot. You can buy the rotors, calipers, hoses etc at most part stores and save money

Re: suggestion on suspension kit vendors
actually I did check locally and it was around $1000 for brake and suspension stuff. Found a brake 5 lug kit at gmcpauls for $200 something and a standard rubber suspension kit somewhere else for about $300. Just not real sure about the quality. I prefer rubber over poly due to smoother ride and no squeaking.

Re: suggestion on suspension kit vendors
I just received my 3 1/2" / 5" drop kit from Tim Christians Classics for my 68 and I am very pleased with the quality.
