Current project status....
Well I haven't posted anything here in a while in regards to my truck project...it started life as a 71 C10 that I drove for several years, and then decided to start a restoration..well the cab and frame were really bad on it. So I decided to start with something better. Sold most of my parts to my neighbor who was building a 72.
After almost 3 years of not really looking...I found this 70 SWB cab and chassis setup with 350 motor and TH350 tranny. Cost me $1200, but the cab is in good shape, and down here in Florida, that's hard to find. That was about a year ago... Then about 4 weeks ago, I found this 68 to complete the 70. The PO really pretty much made the cab and frame useless for me, so I got the sheet metal from it (which is all pretty solid) and it also had dropped spindles, disk brakes conversion on the front, new bumpers..and an almost perfect original tailgate, plus some other goodies.....best of all, this one only cost me $500

Good job collecting parts. Always good to have a few extra parts laying around in case you need them or can swap them for something you can use. Keep us posted and good luck with your build.

Re: Current project status....
Here are some more photos...the 68 was originally a LWB, and the PO cut it down into a SWB...as you can see by the photos...the bed was not shortend properly, so when I placed it on my 70 SWB frame, it didn't quite line up...but it will do for now (till I can either find a true SWB bed, or get the money to build one with new panels)
If you can see it in the second photo...the PO also cut a very large hole in the floor and firewall of the cab and did some creative modifications to the frame.
