Post 72 GMC fenders vs Chevy fenders

I bought a hydraulic valve on ebay and it weighed like 75 pounds, so I went and picked it up. In the guy's shop were 2 72 doors, which I snaged for $50 each. He also has 2 perfect 72 GMC fenders for $40.

I was thinking about buying the fenders, but I want Chev fenders. How are they different?

That seems like a good price, would anyone trade me Chev fenders for GMC?

according to Goodmark, 67-68 Chevy fenders and 67-72 GMC fenders are the same...69-72 Chevy fenders are all by themselves...
Correct me someone if I'm wrong, please???

I learned that the hard way. I bought a fender from the local yard that was carded to fit a 69-72 Chevy/GMC. So it must fit ....right?? Wrong. That fender was from a 72 GMC which won't work because it won't bolt up to the rad support and the outer grille won't fit. So I have a 72 GMC fender to sell, and probably a passenger side door as well.

The rad supports are different. Chev has one headlight per side and GMC two per side for all years. Some mixing and matching of rad support parts can make them work but it involves drilling, measuring and welding for the head light mounts.

Dubie don't worry about your door it will fit fine and if you want to get rid of that fender I'm interested if it's in nice shape.

I will take some pics of that fender this week and e-mail them to you. The door I will be selling because I just bought 2 primo doors. So I will have 1 complete door for sale as well.
