Why does this new 69 hood emblem fit so poorly?
Bought a new emblem for my 69, I think from Chevy duty.
It contours to the ridge in the hood, but the ends of the bowtie hang off the hood by more than 1/8" Looks pretty crappy. Is the emblem, my hood, what? Are they supposed to fit this poorly? It's made by CounterPart, whoever that is. |

Re: Why does this new 69 hood emblem fit so poorly?
My best guess is... because it's new. I've used some of that Counterpart stuff before, and it's not that great. But it's shiney! I did a '69 a few years ago, and kept my slightly imperfect original bowtie because the repos I saw weren't even close.

The counterpart bowties do not fit that well, Need to get one made by Trim parts. They are much better and the color of the blue is more correct.
