79 frame with 72 cab?
I have a 79 4 door truck long bed, ugly basterd. If I take the cab off and bed,try to put a 67-72 cab on it to make a flatbed truck ,what issues would I have to making it work? I t would be a cheap why out for me to make a cool farm truck. Wisdom from the clan ,please..

Since you want a flat bed, it can be done pretty easy. You'll need to make custom spacers, the 79 frame is anything but flat, and these ones are flat, but it can be done. Mudder has a later frame under his, but he has a truck bed, so his was considerably more involved.

I really wanted a one ton, but that ole 79 was left on my property about a year ago. So I might as well use it for something.
