Re: 5 speed

there are mechanical linkages tranny out there such as keisler kits and classic chevy 5 speed you are talking pretty big money.

some of us use a nv3500 tranny out of a late 90's truck, others use late model camaro trannys they have the hyd clutch. use the search and you should find much info on this.

Re: 5 speed

When I get to that point on my project shortbed,I`m going with a Doug Nash unit.Check them out in a Summit catalog.I`m building mine to be new, mechanically. Not worried about the expense.

Re: 5 speed

Finally got my Keisler Tremec installed behind my 250" in my '67 this week. It fits in perfectly (if you are willing to cut your floor and bolt-in a high-hump tunnel). The throw between 1st and second is only 4" with the Hurst shifter that comes with the kit. It has a .64 5th gear for mileage and will handle 550 HP. Appears to be a sweet deal. I think the 3K is worth it. I plan to have the trans for a while. I've got pictures if anyone is interested.

Special K - Sorry we won't see you today at Mattc10's.
