Tips on breaking in new disc brakes??

Always put that "anti-squeek" stuff on the back of the pads before installing. You can also take some emory cloth to scuff up the disc prior to installing....

Go out and do 6 or 8 medium/hard stops from say 45 mph, allowing time to cool......then just drive her like you would. L

Everything that I have read recently recommends that you brake normally and avoid panic stops or excessive heating of new rotors/pads for 500 miles. The new materials used work better and last longer with a break in period. The older non-metallic pads did better with a few hard stops to seat the pads.
