Question '72 blinkers

all,
i am trying ot connect the blinker lights in the bumper for my '72 chevy pickup. i can't figure out what the yellow wire is for & where it is supposed to connect to???


can any one give me some help!

The only 2 yellow wires I can find on the diagram are a 20 gauge going from the coil to the starter and an 18 gauge going from the firewall to the left rear turnsignal. PM me your Email addy and I can send you a copy the 72 wiring diagrams that I have...

thanks i do have the assy. manual. i didn't check it though because the wires start @ the socket of ea. bumper light & are only about 4" long with a circle conn. at the end??? i was thiinking that they were maybe ground, but i am not sure to where & why???

I have some diagrams that other members have posted in the past. I did use them to redo my harness though so I know they're right...

yellow? it should be blue and black coming from the light, or a light blue. then a circle disconnect, but yellow?

yea,
i think it is an "extra" wire. i have the other two wires connected to the factory (new) wiring harness. i wanted to check with "the experts" before i cut it. i guess that from the responses that it may not be needed.
what do you guys think??
