Just sold my chevelle so now it is time to start the truck!!!!

I just meet the guy who is interested in my chevelle and he decided to buy it. So that means i get to spend lots of money shopping for new parts for the truck. I am really excited but also sad. Now i just have to decide what route i want to take. Can't wait till i move the truck in the garage. I am hoping to have it completed my next May. How long did it take you guys to do a frame off resto to your truck? Would it have been faster if you had all the money to start? Anyways just had to tell someone the great news. Here is a couple pics of my "old" chevelle.

WOW! Gorgeous Chevelle! Too bad you could not have kept her and still had the $$$ for the truck. Keep us updated to the process of the truck.

That is a very nice Chevelle. I assume your truck will end up as nice or nicer. I just picked up a 67SS396 Chevelle a month or two ago and I can not wait untill I have my truck and blazer done to park along side of each other. Then I will just need to decide what keys to grab

Nice chevelle!! I have a soft spot for those chevelles. I have a 65 SS Conv. siting in my back yard waiting for me to fix here up. Yeah the truck is going to be perfect. Not sure what powerplant i am going to use but everything else i already have planed. Just not sure if 18k is going to be enough. Thanks for the complents on the chevelle. Man do i have a project ahead of me.

Gosh, why did you sell it? That's a beautiful Chevelle- my favorite year! I would've kept that and put off the truck for another day had it been a money issue!

Re: Just sold my chevelle so now it is time to start the truck!!!!

Thanks Brad for the complements. I recently bought a new Mastercraft X1 wakeboarding boat. I don't have anything to tow it so i decided to restore my truck to tow the boat. Classic truck towing a new boat. Sounds sick in my head. I have a 65 Chevelle SS Conv. sitting in my back yard so someday i can have my chevelle again. When i do my conv. i would like to make it nicer than my old red one. The new owner pics up the chevelle wednesday or thursday.

Re: Just sold my chevelle so now it is time to start the truck!!!!

My very first new car was a 1965 Malibu SS 327 4sp Red with a red interior. I was 18 and just graduated and had my first factory job. 6 months later I got drafted into the army and had to sell my car. When I got out of the service I tracked the car down and tried to buy it back. He priced it so high that I couldn't buy it so never seen it again. Yours looked a lot nicer than mine did new. Sorry you had to sell it.
