Wheelin'
Just took my 1991 s-10, i just bought a while ago that, isnt in my name yet, no plates or anything, up the road 500ft, Dead end.. and a few old camp roads, around 1,000 ft in legnth.. Ive never been wheelin' so I put her in 4 low, and crawled through little mud puddles that actually were rocker panel deep, crawled right through 2nd gear.. then i put it in 2wd and mud flyin, but never got stuck.. oh yea, i heard some bottomin out... i think i was skimming the rocky mud.. So i now know my 4WD is dependable.. OOH it was Fun, i wanna do it again, but i dont wanna get busted..

Re: Wheelin'
Yeah wheelin is fun but I prefer to do it on an ATV, less damage when I flip it, easier to tow there, easier on gas, and can go where a truck or jeep can't.

Re: Wheelin'
Currently building my 'new' wheelin rig... putting a 1989 reg cab, reg box S10 on a 1976 K5 frame. I wheeled the S10 for years until the frame gave out, then I wheeled the K5 for a bit, but the body is on it's last leg. So, I'm putting the two together... don't have any pictures of it yet, but hope to have it completed soon.
Here is the old S10 hitting the mud:

Re: Wheelin'
He// yeah I enjoy wheeling and going up in the woods and just cruising around. My Blazer and my Pickup are both down right now but I miss going mudding and cruising out in the woods. P.S. we need some pics. though.

Re: Wheelin'
the pic of the purple truck.
my son buried it friday night.it was in a real deep hole with alot of suction it sunk past the axles.we finally got it out late sat nite.with the help of 2 wreckers hooked to him and a f150 and a chevy 2 hold the wreckers back which had there wheel lifts down to hold them.ive been wheelin along time and never seen one stuck that bad.they had a time and was about to give up and call a buddy with a dozer.at one point before the trucks hooked to the wreckers it was sliding the wreckers to him with there wheel lifts on the ground and wheels chocked.i wished i would have got pics/video but while he was getting stuck the wife was getting admitted to hospital with blood clot in leg and lung.so i didnt even think about a camera till later

Re: Wheelin'
I`ve been stuck like that`too,TOTAL SUCTION!!!I had access to a wrecker, but couldn`t budge it.I had to call a heavy-duty wrecker with twin winches and craning boom to lift as he pulled.I can`t imagine what that would cost these day$$$.

Re: Wheelin'
Here are a few wheeling pictures of the rear Detroit Locker and front Detroit TrueTrac validation test drive near my house. Gears and lockers are cool. It is amazing the difference they make. These pictures are from March 2006 before the SnugTop topper was added. I am a little apprehensive about flexing it this much with a the topper on it now for fear of smashing the topper into the cab.
