What's the story on the building ? Did they manufacture jail cells or something ?

Nothing sets of a great truck better than a great back drop. Those pics would be awesome in a calendar.

Re: Fresh pics! (just showin off)

Thanks for the boost guys. I had spotted this building from some distance away a couple years ago but never took the time to actually get to it. From the info I found Manly Jail Works was founded in 1888. They built jail cells and rolling cages for prison work crews. Here's a couple links to the info I found.

I think this pic was shot about where my truck was sitting in these photos.

Oh, and here's the specs for my tire/wheel/drop setup.

Re: Fresh pics! (just showin off)

Nice composition! My truck was shot last weekend for Truckin' magazine and one of the three areas where it was shot had an old back drop like that. There was an old concrete slab remaining of a business that had a loading ramp beside a set of train tracks. On the other side of the tracks was an old building with an aged Dr. Pepper ad and something about Engine work performed. These old buildings and barns make for nice back drops. I asked the photographer if I could get a copy of his shots so I could get a print make for my home office.

Keep sending the pics! We love 'em!

I was reading the info on your drop and wheels and I have a question for everyone.

What if I wanted 17"x8" Torque Thrust II's and looking at a drop of 2.5"F/4"R, could I use these wheels, with this drop on a stepbed?

Also, seeten, you said you had a 6" rear drop? Did you use a c-notch?

I don't see any reason why 17x8 rims wouldn't fit with that drop. If you go back through the other 4 or 5 pages of that tire/wheel thread I posted you will probably (maybe) find someone running that combo. ECE claims you don't need a notch for 6" of drop, and this board is full of trucks that aren't notched with this drop. And most everyone claims they aren't having a problem not using a notch. However, my truck will bottom out from time to time. Of course I seldom baby it, I like to drive it like I stole it! I can see a notch in my future! If you never hauled anything and you eased over every railroad track and speed bump you would probably never hit.
