Brake booster help
I am putting power brakes on my 69 and I was wondering which year truck would be best to get a booster from? Also do I need to get the proportioning valve off the same year truck or should I use the proportioning valve that is currently on my truck? Not sure if taking a proportioning valve off of a truck that comes equipped with front disk brakes would thow off my front to rear braking ratio. I plan on converting to front disk brakes but that will probably next spring and I would like power brakes now

Re: Brake booster help
All you need is a booster and the connecting rods. You don't even have to undo the brake lines, just unbolt the m/c from the firewall and carefully pull it away far enough to mount the booster in between.

Re: Brake booster help
the power booster for the disk drakes is not the same as the one for the drum brakes, IMO, it'd be a waste of money to add a booster now, only to replace it soon.
