Removing Headlight Knob/Switch?
Hi, new here learning about my 70 Blazer. I was looking at taking out the dash bezel to clean it up a bit. On the wiper control knob, there is a tiny flathead knob holding it in place. However, it doesn't appear to be quite so obvious on how to take off the one for the headlights?
I didn't look at it very long, so maybe it IS obvious, but thought I could ask here and save some time. Thanks in advance! Darren |

Re: Removing Headlight Knob/Switch?
reach behind the dash on the bottom of the light switch, there should be a springy thing. Push it into the light switch while gently pulling out on the head light knob and shaft
To reinstall gently push the shaft all the way in |

Re: Removing Headlight Knob/Switch?
To remove the headlight switch and bezel, you have to reach up under the dash to the body of the light switch; you should feel a small button on the body; depress button and pull the knob.
Don't be alarmed, as the whole rod that the knob is attached to will pull out of the switch body. Unscrew the bezel and you should be able to continue removing the gauge bezel. D'oh, qksilver is quicker Last edited by 72LoBurb; 10-16-2006 at 10:06 PM. |
