Parts truck?
I have a chance at 500 dollars for a once rebuilt truck that has heavy front end damage. I need a cab for my 69 lwb because mine is toooo rusted. I need to know if since this is a 72 will the cabs swap out? will panels match? What will I have to do to make these two trucks have 1 solid body? I am really diggin this buy.

Re: Parts truck?
The cab wiil swap no problem. But I would like to see some good pics of the driver side. Cause since she hit hard I wander if the cab has ben tweaked. Does the driver side door open and close easily? Do they still line up? If the cab is tweaked it is only good for basic parts. Like the dash, engine trans, rear axle. Just be real sure to look over what you want to use make sure it wasnt damaged.

Re: Parts truck?
I have seen trucks not hit as hard that have twisted cabs. The lower front corner of one was so bent they ended up using it for patches

Re: Parts truck?
If the cab checks out and the it is also rust free all the way round, go for it. There is alot of guys in San Diego behind the seens looking for parts for these and you should be able to make some money back on some of the parts not used. The Truck swap is in Dec. and you can sell some unwanted parts there.
Good luck and I hope it is what you want and need!! Respectfully

Re: Parts truck?
That's what I'm thinking longhorn. However, I will probably end up just taking the front clip off of my truck and using it on this one because this one just is in better condition. I already told him I will take it. Yay
