Speaker and Cup holder Ideas

I am just thinking of different Mods for my interior and thought it would be cool to get ideas for speakers and cup holders. I have seen some of the ebay stuff (speaker/headliner and ash tray cupholders).

No rules on this, lets make this a fun thread to see how much original thought went into your solution, Personally I will be most interested in the low hump cab solutions for my own use.

Ill go first,

Right now my cupholder is a steel toed boot, and my speaker is in the dash.

Re: Speaker and Cup holder Ideas

I had thought about a speaker box that goes on a low hump truck. Cup holders in the top speakers near the front pointing up and out on the slope sides. Somthing that looks kind of like a pyramid with the top cut off. The speakers would be up front so if someone needed to sit in the middle of a bench truck they could.

Re: Speaker and Cup holder Ideas

This is what's going into the 68:

And they will go in the drawn-in boxes below the HVAC control:

As for speakers, I am going to make a panel for the back of the cab to house the woofer, put a set of mid-range speakers in a set of custom door panels, and probably tweeters either in the front of the dash or on top the dash close to the window so that they are directed at the driver and passenger. Might even try to make some sort of A-post tweeter mount.

Re: Speaker and Cup holder Ideas

It's not meant to be a bolt-in, it's a custom piece. But there is nothing stopping someone from making it work!

Oh, and I'm not sure I want to know what your smoking!

My cup holder is a roll of duct tape It sticks well to the rubber mat and my coffee cup fits in it perfect.

Some day I will get a fold down middle seat with holders. That's the goa; anyway.

Cup holders are from here: http://www.rbsauto.com/product.asp?Product_id=176971

Cach la Poudre River. Spent most of my summers for the last 10 years up there dragging people out of the river when I was on the sheriff's department water rescue team, boaters and car wrecks.

129.00 Ouch! They look good though and since they mount lower I bet you wont have the problems with taller drinks like in the ash tray mount ones.

Re: Speaker and Cup holder Ideas

I don't have a good speaker solution yet, but you can see my *simple* cupholder solution in this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=208408
so far i am very happy with its performance.

These guys are the originals and are better quality in my opinion. They had their idea to market first.

Great Company!! Check out their home page.....they do killer customs.

Re: Speaker and Cup holder Ideas

You guys are behind the times.I was perusing Hot Rod mag(I think HR anyway) and now they are making adapters for your cupholder to hold your fries, onion rings or chicken strips. You want to make sure whatever you do it will work with these adapters. Now if they would just design one to adapt them to hold the burger.
