Under Bed poly tank????????
I got the 21 gallon poly tank kit, maybe a poor choice at the time, but now that I'm at the finishing stage's of the chassis/paint, Im wondering what type of filler neck set-up you might recommend?? My truck has the steel bed

Re: Under Bed poly tank????????
im thinking of getting the poly tank conversion for my truck as well.. i think maybe it would be safer than a metal one. what do you think of the poly ones? ups and downs?

Re: Under Bed poly tank????????
I have a poly tank under the bed of my '71 4x4 and am quite satisfied. Purchased from GMC Paul couple years ago. Installed the fuel filler in the bed on driver's side wheel well hump. Works well, no problem filling, and was a "do-it-you-self" install. Couple pics of the set-up.

Re: Under Bed poly tank????????
I have a poly tank to install but wish I would have gone aluminum. It will work fine but the aluminum is made to fit and looks better I think. Tons of options for filler necks just do a search or check FAQ's.

Not sure what you're looking for, but I did this to a stepside
The door/filler came from a 96 silverado. So an 88-98 should be the same and I think the S-10's and blazers used the same door from 98-04.

That looks real clean, very nice 67red. Im trying to stay away from cutting into the bedside. I also want to keep it away from the paint if at all possible.

Re: Under Bed poly tank????????
there is info for the marker light install, stake post install and others. Or put a door flapper on your bed floor.

Re: Under Bed poly tank????????
In the past I would have "thought a plastic gas tank?" But now I plan on using one from Summitt. My new Dodge has a plastic gas tank along with alot of other new vehicles.

Re: Under Bed poly tank????????
Thats the only reason I'm doing this swap, not cause I'm sketch out on the tank being behind the seat, but the fact a 2002 tahoe leather middle seat will be much more comfortable than the stock unit. Plus its got the cup holder option.......hehe
