Body Patch Panel Questions?
I got the bed off of my truck today, and will be getting after some body work pretty soon. I'll be needing new cab corners, rocker panels and rear bed corners (maybe). From what I see looking thru my catalogs, prices vary, sometimes greatly. I know, in most cases, you get what you pay for. But I also know, it's not always true.
My questions are; Is there any quality difference in the panels available from different retailers? Are they all made by one company and sold to all distributers? If not, who sells the better quality product. I don't mind paying more, if I'm getting a better product. Thanks in advance, Jay

Re: Body Patch Panel Questions?
I know there are a few different manufactuers of rockers. Someone gave me a set from lmc and they are pos. Light waight and arent even stamped right. I also bought a set a few years ago at aswap meet and they fit real well. Dont remeber who made them and the vendor went out of businees?, I havent seen him in a few years. Cab corners, I havent found one that fits yet. If your lucky someone still stocks the old american made ones, they fit pretty well. But all the taiwan ones I have used need work to fit.

Re: Body Patch Panel Questions?
Thanks,
I guess I'll check out Mother's panels. I will be doing these myself, for the first time, so I just want the better ones to start with. I find that ironic about LMC's panels as they are the more expensive panels I found. Guess you don't always get what you pay for. But of course, I haven't checked the prices at Mother Truckers yet. Thanks for the info, Jay

Re: Body Patch Panel Questions?
Here is a way I have found to see if the panels are crap. If the manufactures label is a blue and white glossy label with no real manuf acture info than stay away. All the panels with this label I have used either dont fit, rockers, or require modification, cab corners.
