SS454 wheels
I just picked up some SS454 chrome rims at a swap meet and was wondering if anyone else is running these on our trucks?
The caps are held on by outside threads on the lug nut but the lugs with it are metric. I have purchased standard outside threaded lugnuts for my 72 3/4 ton but those are a bigger thread. If anyone is running these and or knows where I can find 1/2" lugs with outside threads please let me know |

I have a set of those rims as well ( not on my truck ) due to the same problem. The only way I see it is to change the studs on the axles. The lug nuts that work just aren't made with the thread size our trucks use. At least I can't seem to find them...

This is a pic of a members truck, it looks like the same wheels to me.
His board name is Tom Hand. If this is the wheels you are looking to mount you might wanna give him a shout.

I put a set of 1997 ralley rims (dually) on my 69 frame. The center caps are held on the same (external thread on the lug nuts). The rims came with the lug nuts. I bought all new metric studs, hammered out the old studs. enlarged (drilled) holes, hammered in new studs. Looks real nice. Didn't run into any problems at all.
