Re: pinks
I think the 68 team my have been playing a little game with the S10 guys. If you get beat by too much, you can negotiate a race where the other guy has to win by so many car lengths. But I agree, the S10 team were some good guys. Not only gave back the 68, but were there to race.

Re: pinks
My best 1/8 mile Et is in my sig. The first thing I'm gonna do is degree the cam and weight the truck on 4 corner scales! Then I'm going to add another stage of nitrous! I haven't made a 1/4 mile nitrous pass yet! I'm gonna take some weight off and put some nicer bed sides on it also! If you haven't seen it we did a little video a couple of weeks ago. I think its on page 14 of the build post in my sig!

Re: pinks
The 68 had to give it away each time because of a trans leak. They decided it would be too dangerous to let him keep racing. The guy in the Chevy Luv was the COOLEST! I see he was on the shoot out special but got beat out right away...

Re: pinks
Does anyone else just want to strangle Rich Cristenson? The Host. It's like "buddy I could care less what race YOU want to see. This is MY car, and I'm racing THAT guy. Shut up and just do the dumbest looking point, point, drop you can."
Sorry, just had to let that out. Jay

I watched a "head to head" race the other night and personally I enjoyed that MUCH better. Why can't they just use a normal tree? If they're not going to use a tree I'd much rather see a normal joe out there dropping his/her hands to start the race. |

Re: pinks
What really gets me is the fact that they will leave on a point, point, drop. But then one will cry about another guy leaving early. When we were street racing years ago there was a rule "a chase is a race" and we tried everything we could to leave early, but not so early that the other guy didn't try and run us down. If he chased us, that was a race, give me my money! I think pinks either needs to adopt that mentality or use the tree.
And yes, that goofy SOB has practiced that a million times, and probably thinks he looks cool too. Jay

Re: pinks
We used horns back in the day...problem was the "honker" always jumped.
That and I dropped my Camaro around 5500 so I couldnt hear the horn.

Re: pinks
My favorite so far was the Mustang vs. Civic... The mustang beat the the civic by a nose both had nitrous.. and the last race the Civic wanted 13 car lengths and the Mustang to take of the NOS.. lol I hate bracket racing, if you can't keep up with who your next to, race soemone slower

Re: pinks
It seems to me that he chooses sides too much & decides what the race will be. Isnt that up to the two racing? Anyone else, just me?

Re: pinks
Not me, if the guy got screwed by a breakdown or something, Id give it back & tell him to come back later & try again. If I went on TV to beat someone, I want to beat them. I gotta add, Id never race for titles so I dont really have to worry about it...
