Radiator Hose Problem
Okay, i'm finally getting around to doing some work on my truck and i've come across something I never thought would be an issue. I converted the new engine to a long style water pump and when I went to put the old (bought it right before I tore the old engine out) radiator hose in place I noticed it did not fit right. Should I get one of those flexible plastic hoses or does someone know a part number that will be a perfect fit. Also does anyone know where to get the flexible hoses? The only places i've looked are summit and O'Reily's.

I assume you're talking about the lower rad hose. Try one off a '73+ truck. They all had the long water pump (I think). I had a pile of assorted rad hoses from varous projects and luckily one fit. You could also bend a piece of wire the shape you need, then go to the parts store and match up a hose. That's what I had to do when we swapped a 351W into my girlfriends '77 Bronco. Come to think of it, the Bronco hose might be on my Blazer! BTW never do an engine swap on a Ford, nothing fits!

That cool flex Hose is going to put a dent in your pocket also. HAHA I have one on my Jimmy but dang they are expensive.

I think I saw them around $50 someplace. They do look "cool." I have no idea how they attach.

They still use normal hose clamps, they are hidden under that neck on the end of the hose. Visit the website it's on the front page.
