Is there a difference between????????
A non AC battery tray and a AC battery tray? What is the difference?

Yes!
From the way I understand it, there is a clip on the underside (radiator core side) that the AC lines go into as they come from the core support under the battery box. Haven't seen one, but the assembly manual describes something like what you see from the various catalogs. |

There are also some access holes that are on the a/c tray that are not on the non a/c tray.
I tired to find a pic on my assembly manual but couldn't Sorry

Here is a pic of an AC style battery tray. It has a bracket welded to the corner to support the two ac lines that go to the condenser.
I got a replacement bracket with the new condenser tubes and if you need it you could have it for shipping costs. Jim |
