What 6" lift options for 72 K10?

I am getting ready to install a lift for my 72 K10 project. I called and checked on lift kits and the only one that I found available was a Skyjacker for about $1200.00 thats about $500.00 more than I thought I would have to spend. I want springs all around, no blocks. The 4" lift kits with all springs was around $500.00 from High country and Superlift. Why is the 6" not available in anything cheaper? I could use the 4" but I am running 35" tires and didn't think that was enough. Thanks rich

Hey Rich- Tuff Country! Great springs, great price, and they have a part number listed for ya. Tuff Country springs are good springs and endorsed by anyone that I have ever come across. They ride well, flex well, are well priced and well built. I had a set of 6" Tuff Country springs on my 71 K5 with no complaints at all.

Tuff Country

I even did some research, and WHAM! Look at that price! Front/rear springs, steering arm, u-bolts, etc. $699!!!

Well, I guess you would have to pay another $154 for the Nitro shocks as well, so you would be at $854... Still better then $1200.

And another $100 for shipping; but you are gonna have to pay around $100 to get a full set of 4 springs shipped to ya no matter where you buy anyways... $954 shipped to your door.

I was gonna recommend Tuff Country springs to you. I'm using their 6" springs (actually 7" as I am using the HD version) on the front axle of my 69 K20 and like them.

Re: What 6" lift options for 72 K10?

Well I ordered it today. 6" front EZ Ride Tuff Country springs, new heavy duty front shackles and all new greaseable bushings for front and back springs, 4" shackle flip for the rear with 2" blocks, steering drop, shocks, steering stabilizer and new longer braided brake lines. I went with the shackle flip because everyone I talked to recommended it for a better ride and more flex. Off Road Design in Colorado makes the shackle flip and is also having a 10% offf sale along with Tuff Country 30% off shipping. So I went for it, $1,050.00 shipped to my door, I will let you know what I think of it!
